Photo Opp has always been dedicated to fostering a vibrant and supportive environment for artists throughout Northeast Wisconsin. we are thrilled to announce our next initiative: the launch of Photo Opp’s Film Processing Program!

Our film photography community is an engaged, dedicated group that has allowed us to launch new programming and build some amazing connection with new community members. Since the closing of Murray Photo and Video Inc store on November 18, 2023 after more than 30 years in downtown Appleton there are currently no options for local film photographers to have their film developed without shipping their film out of state.

We are currently looking to raise $15,000 to allow us to open a new service, Film Processing for Northeast Wisconsin and beyond! This $15K will allow us to purchase a Film Processor (Nortisu QSF-V30,) and the paper and chemicals needed.

At the time of closing, Murray Photo was processing 100-150 rolls of film each week from local photographers, camera shops, and film photographers across the country, we are excited to be able to fill this need.

Here’s how your contribution will make a difference:

Equipment Acquisition: Purchasing a film processor, paper and chemicals to launch film processing services.
Supply Procurement: Acquiring chemicals, film, and other consumables needed for processing.
Marketing + Advertisement: Designing and creating digital and print advertisements, fliers, and other marketing materials needed to get the word out about our new program.
